Oh, the pain. It was a Friday, the alarm had gone off and it was time for me to get out of bed. Half way to the bathroom the pain struck. No position I tried made any difference. I couldn't figure out what happened. As the day went on I did my usual things, but the pain was always with me. I figured a good night's sleep would probably make it better.
Needless to say, it didn't. I got little if any sleep that night. Now it was Saturday. Where could I go to get some relief? The Yellow Pages was my first choice and low and behold there I found a chiropractic office that had Saturday hours. What luck. I practically met by the doctors at the door when he first came in. I told him I was in great pain and needed something done.
He took x-rays, asked a lot of questions, decided I had pinched a nerve, and did an adjustment to my spine. I couldn't believe how much better I felt. This was so much better than the 2 years I spent treating a couple of slipped disks. All I got was pain medications, muscle relaxants, and physical therapy. After 2 surgeries, I still had some pain. Finally it went away.
The difference in my two treatments was like night and day. I had spent 2 years in pain when I went to the medical doctor, and only 24 hours of severe pain before coming to the chiropractor. If only someone had told me about chiropractors and how fast their treatments work on the really bad stuff. No more medical doctors for me.
I will always choose chiropractic methods over an M.D. any time. This is the only way to go when you have pain in your back. I have told everyone I know this story. I don't know if I have convinced anyone to use the chiropractic way, but I will continue telling my story to one and all.
